Let's Save On The Federal Deficit By Laying Off Congress!

Don't Tread On Me.

I am narrow minded about narrow mindedness.

One who blames others for failures, and does not share credit for successes, is a person of weak character.

From Dog Wars To Polygamy

Last week the Presidential campaigns were flinging dog at each other. This week’s issue is polygamy.

Polygamy: having more than one wife. In the United States you can have more than one wife, but only one at a time. Some other cultures and religions have allowed multiple wives AT THE SAME TIME.

While Mitt Romney is not a polygamist, there has been polygamy in his family’s past. Some have tried to make it an issue in the campaign.

As it turns out, the same is true of President Obama’s family.

Read about it here, and here, and here.

While we have terrible unemployment, high gas prices, increasing food prices and unsustainable debt, who’s father or grandfather had more than one wife at a time is irrelevant.

The Daily Beast is a left wing news aggregator/blog passing itself off as a news site. It is to the left what The Blaze is to the right. They even look similar.
A peek at the Beast’s politics page this morning caused some amusement. They are declaring Ann Romney both irrelevant and unrepresentative at the same time.
This is ironic. If she is irrelevant, why say anything more?
Here’s why: The Beast wants Obama to win reelection.
Because Ann Romney is appealing to many moderate, independent and Republican women, they have taken on the task of diminishing her. They believe this will weaken Romney’s chances at being elected President.
Yes, it is that obvious.

Rock star and gun enthusiast Ted Nugent appeared on Glenn Beck’s radio show this morning. The outspoken musician discussed the heat he’s been taking over controversial comments he made at the NRA convention this past weekend. Additionally, he talked about his impending meeting with the Secret Service as a result of his words and commented on the “sub-human punk” label he gave DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz.

One Candidate Put The Dog On The Roof, And The Other Ate The Dog

So we have a couple of dudes running for President. One already is the President, and one wants to be.

As the story goes, one of them, in 1983, put his dog in a crate on top of the car for a family trip. The other, as a boy, ate dog meat.

Currently, the supporters for each candidate are battling in the media sphere over which is worse.

I leave it to you to decide which is worse and because it is just silly, I will not identify which candidate is which.

While we have terrible unemployment, high gas prices, increasing food prices and unsustainable debt, I think who ate the dog or put him on the car roof is irrelevant.

Pay Your Taxes A**holes

Today is tax day, the day that the 49% of Americans that pay income taxes dread. For the whopping 51% of Americans that pay NO income taxes, it is just another day, or it is the day they file for the earned income credit. That is a refund check for those who have paid nothing.

It is also a day when many giant corporations don’t pay. Through various loopholes, subsidies and incentives, corporations like General Electric pay no taxes. It has been reported in the media that GE earned five billion dollars in the US and paid no taxes on it. (That is why you will no longer find new GE appliances in my home.)

How can a country with such need and economic difficulties get anything done when the tax load is placed on an ever shrinking number of tax payers?

Some of the blame should be placed on Members of Congress from both parties. They passed the legislation allowing so many to skate by. Some of it goes to the voters who elected these circus clowns. It is one of the quirks of our Republic. Voters can elect people who promise them free stuff.

Back in the 60’s they used to say “gas, grass or ass, nobody rides for free”.  That is a bit crass, but you get the point.

To the many of you riding for free? Pay your taxes a**holes. The rest of us have to make up the difference.

This video clip shows David Axelrod in a rare moment of candor. It is likely taken out of context, and unlikely to happen again.
